Tutorial 5 Alerts and Notifications

The power of a collaboration Space is built on members receiving notifications of when information is updated.

Watch Lists are the most direct way of achieving this although RSS feeds can also be used.

To set up a Watch List, you first have to configure your account to send the alerts and notifications

Then you need to select what items to Watch.  You can Watch entire Spaces or just particular pages.

  1. Click on the down arrow next to your name on the top bar.
    1. Select "Settings"
    2. On the left of the screen select Email
    3. On the bottom of the screen, click Edit
    4. Tick the appropriate boxes (all except "notify of my own actions")
    5. Click Save
  2. Navigate to the Space you wish to watch.
    1. Click Browse then Space Admin
    2. On the left of the screen click "Start Watching This Space
